GWA Grants

GWA is committed to providing financial support to individuals and organizations dedicated to helping our community learn, grow and thrive.

The Georgetown Women’s Alliance is pleased to offer Community Grants for projects and programs sponsored by Georgetown University community members that align with the GWA mission to foster an environment in which women can learn, grow, thrive, and connect. GWA Community Grants provides funding to help Georgetown students, faculty, and staff launch a new idea, expand an existing initiative, bring people together, or make an opportunity more accessible.

Grant requests must be submitted by the 15th of the month prior to the month in which the program takes place. For example, requests for programs taking place in May must be submitted by April 15. Applications are accepted from September 1 through May 1 and are reviewed on a rolling basis. GWA prioritizes projects that support one or more of the following:

Special consideration may be given to programs or events that work across differences to promote collaboration, dialogue, and connection. Please be thorough in your submission. GWA may request additional information in order to fully evaluate your request. In particular, please consider: How can GWA members engage with or learn from your initiative?

Grant recipients will be asked to acknowledge GWA support and complete a brief post-program impact snapshot sharing the biggest impact or takeaway. Recipients may also be asked to share photos, participant quotes, or testimonials for GWA communications and annual impact reporting.

Please complete and submit this form to apply for a GWA Community Grant. Make sure you clearly explain how your project or program aligns with GWA’s mission and how it will benefit the Georgetown community. Contact Briyon Ransome, GWA Community Grants Chair at br593@georgetown.edu if you have any questions.

In addition to funding, GWA will provide marketing support for your initiative, including email distribution, social media, website placement, and other forms of outreach.
