GWA Supports DC Ward 2 Mutual Aid: Winter Clothing Drive

This November and December 2021, we are amplifying Ward 2 Mutual Aid (new window)’s winter supply drive, and asking members of our Georgetown community to join us in purchasing or donating supplies from W2MA’s wish list, including sleeping bags, blankets, and coats. These items have all been requested from our unhoused neighbors around Ward 2, and purchasing them is a way to stand in solidarity with members of our community who are living in encampments.

Two ways to give:

  1. WISH LIST (online): Click here (new window) and purchase an item to be delivered to the HR office at Georgetown — we’ll inventory and transport all materials to Ward 2 Mutual Aid throughout December, which will be distributed immediately to folks who have requested them.
  2. DROP OFF (in person): Drop off items at boxes in VCW (Village C West),  Ryan/Hawkinson, Car Barn, and the Women’s Center (327 Leavey), and Hariri Suite 211, throughout the months of November and December. Click here (new window) to see what sorts of items are needed. New or like-new items only please!
